I love the festivals in Philadelphia and pretty much go to all of them every year, I especially love the Italian Market Festival, really love the Rittenhouse Festival and really, really love the Old City Festival, which is October 13th and the Mid-town Village Fall festival is another one of my favorites, each year 13th st and several surrounding blocks in Midtown Village shut down and transform into an outstsanding festival filled with live music, entertainment and my favorite part is that it’s filled with food offerings from some of the best restaurants in the area, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, Lola, McGillans, Franky Bradleys, Zio and dozens of the best restaurants in Mid-town Village are out in the street, with some delicious food items, today I saw some delicious sliders, grilled corn, pulled pork, burgers and much, much more, I use this opportunity each year to try out new restaurants at the average price of 6-8 dollars, instead of going into the restaurant and having a meal for double, for example, I was able to try out Laurel, at the East Passyunk Avenue Festival for 8.00 a year ago, so these festivals are a great place to try out different restaurants, all in one spot, for a much lower price, than going inside and sitting down, I look forward to these festivals each year and I do a very good job of remembering to go to them, they also had radio stations, banks, real estate companies and many more places giving out tons of free stuff, which is a great part of these festivals, alot of spinning wheels, guessing numbers for prizes etc, this year PNC Bank had people guess what numbers would open a safe and I waited in a line of 6 and saw 3 people in front of me actually open the safe with the guessed combo and when they opened the safe, I stretched my neck as best I could to see what they won, I had visions of hundred dollar bills, huge stacks of money in my head and when the safe fully opened, I saw…cups and mugs, yes, that’s right, cups and mugs lol, this is an example of how unpredictable the games at these festivals are, be sure to use Google to find the next festival, you’ll be glad that you did, https://dining-on-a-dime.simplecast.com
