I have always said that Philadelphia could use one very good shopping mall and they must have heard me, because Fashion District Philadelphia has opened in the old Gallery at 8th n Market St and you are now able to get off the El at 8th n Market and walk straight through to Jefferson station and The Reading Terminal Market underground and grab some things from the beautiful, upgraded Burlington Coat Factory and many other great stores as your doing it, this is going to be a huge asset in the cold and snowy winter months, because you can go an entire 3 city blocks underground, the Mall has 800,000 Sq ft of flagship, traditional and outlet shopping, in addition to dining, entertainment and Art and Cultural exhibits,as they are described on their Yelp page, I was surprised to see both City Winery Philadelphia and Yards Brewing Company right inside the Mall, which gives adults, great places to hang out, there is also an AMC theater that is going to open, which along with the really cool Candytopia and their pool of Marshmallows, gives great “date night” options and much like the King Of Prussia Mall, there is plenty of seating with plugs to plug in your cellphone. I was very impressed by the looks of the Mall, but the “Dining On A Dime” podcast is about good food, so some of their dining options are BurgerFi, Chick-fil-A, Chickie & Pete’s, Pei Wei, Tiffany’s Bakery and many more, I personally tried out the pizza place called Oath Pizza, which has great varieties in half and whole sizes, I had the Walley and it was packed with flavor, in summary, Fashion District Philadelphia has something for both adults and children,Art and culture lovers and foodies, along with entertainment, so check it out today!!! 215-925-7162 for more info.
